"Mother's Day"

… and just as I thought the tangled forest floor led nowhere, that if I could, I should simply turn back and seek a new, less briar-strewn path, the trees gave way to a clearing.

What I saw there left me breathless, a glorious collection of colors and light, a garden, both wild and meticulous, breathing with life and love like none I ever expected could be experienced , certainly not in earthly days. I spoke out, confidently,

"God, tell, show me this woman, the one whose hand has crafted this glory! For I know while it is with your soil and seed and sun and moisture that this has come to be, but even a simple man such as I knows better than to call this sweeping testament to love your work alone. No, God, show me this woman, because such beauty could only grow from the love of a Mother."
