In any society, moments define time for a people and the bombing of the Murrah Building is forever etched in those who lived in Oklahoma City – and America. Upon moving here a decade after the bombing, I visited the Memorial frequently, and through the seasons, the cold, hopelessness of a stark winter gives way to the exhilaration of spring, the enthusiasm of summer and the reflection of fall, where I find this tree – a symbol of the inner strength of the survivor.
